Microneedling
A manual or electrical device with needles to penetrate the scar is used to help ‘remodel’ the collagen that makes up scar.
The old collagen that formed a problematic scar can be replaced through the new healing process which is stimulated by this treatment to provide a better looking scar – often texture and pliability of the scar can be improved with this treatment. The treatment is usually performed under local anaesthetic and your scar may be prepared with various vitamin creams before that may also be appropriate to use after the procedure.
