Tim Lloyd


My specialist interests are the correction of jaw deformity and craniofacial deformity. I am the lead for the adult craniofacial service at UCLH and surgical lead for the division growth and development at the Eastman Dental Hospital. I have one of the largest orthognathic practices in Europe and I have pioneered day case orthognathic surgery in the UK. I regularly lecture at the international orthognathic congress and I am consultant advisor to Medartis an international medical devices company.

I feel extremely fortunate to be involved with the charity “Facing Africa”. I travel with David Dunaway and others to Ethiopia to operate on Noma victims on a yearly basis.

As clinical lead for the oral surgery department at the Eastman Dental Hospital, I have been responsible for training programs for oral surgery and I continue to do oral surgery lists in my NHS practice. The excellent facilities at 152 are perfect for carrying oral surgery procedures.

 
 

Angelica Kavouni


Ms Angelica Kavouni graduated from the medical school of Thessaloniki, Greece and continued her postgraduate studies at the University of Bristol Medical School on a scholarship from the Erasmus European Institute.

She trained in Plastic Surgery in London NHS Hospitals; following her certification in July 2000 by the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery she specialised in Cosmetic Surgery as a fellow at London’s Institute of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery by Mr Dai Davies and then spent two more years working as an associate cosmetic surgeon to Mr Jan Stanek.

Her main areas of interests are in breast enhancement and female surgery, liposculpture, abdominoplasty and body contouring after pregnancy, minimal access facial surgery such as short scar face lifts, browlifts and thread lifts, skin rejuvenation with fillers, Botox, chemical peels and laser.

Ms Kavouni is one of the UK’s most well-known, respected and requested female plastic surgeons, with over ten years of cosmetic private practice experience. Ms Kavouni regularly appears as a voice of the industry in the media and has appeared for five consecutive years in Tatler’s prestigious Cosmetic Surgery Guide.

 
 

Jorge Leon-Villapalos


Jorge Leon-Villapalos is a Consultant in Plastic Surgery and Burns at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, appointed in 2009 and Paediatric Lead Clinician of the Burns Unit. Prior to this, he was a Consultant in Plastic Surgery and Burns at the St Andrew’s Centre for Plastic Surgery and Burns. This unit, part of the London and South East of England Burn Network, is also one of the leading Burns Units in the Country.

He was a fellow in Adult and Paediatric Burns and Adult and Paediatric Burns Intensive care at the Shriners Hospital for Burned Children in Galveston, Texas, one of the busiest and most recognized paediatric burns units in the world. He was a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Glasgow in Plastic Surgery, and was entered in the GMC Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery in 2009.

He is a member of the British Burns Association and the International Society for Burn Injuries, specializing in Burns Surgery and other conditions with extensive skin loss and necrosis such as necrotizing fasciitis, meningococcal septicemia, and toxic epidermal necrolysis. He also specializes in General Plastic Surgery as well as the reconstruction and management of scars of all etiologies. His interests also include all aspects of aesthetic, cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.

Jorge regularly teaches “The Emergency Management of severe Burns” courses, the only recognised courses in the UK for acute management of burn injuries and burns care for allied health professionals.

 
 

David Gateley


David Gateley is among the leading Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons operating in the UK today. He studied medicine at Downing College Cambridge and King’s College Hospital, London, qualifying in 1984.  He trained in General Surgery, Orthopaedics and Neurosurgery for five years before starting his career in Plastic Surgery.

As well as operating at Roehampton, The Lister and Guys and St. Thomas’s Hospitals, Mr Gateley gained a Hand and Microsurgery Fellowship in the USA, achieving certification of higher surgical training in plastic surgery in 1996. Since 1997, Mr Gateley has been Consultant Plastic Surgeon at St George’s Hospital in South London, Europe’s largest teaching hospital. Here, he has been training the country’s next generation of plastic surgeons as part of his continuing commitment to the NHS.

In addition to being a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Mr Gateley is a member of the British Association of Plastic Surgeons and British Society for Surgery of the Hand and the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.

 
 

Richard Young


Richard Young studied medicine at Oxford and Cambridge Universities.  After qualifying he returned to teach at Cambridge University and tutor at Downing College before starting his general surgical training at Frenchay Hospital in Bristol.

Mr Young went on to complete specialist training and higher surgical training in Hong Kong, London and Belgium working in some of the world’s most renowned hospital such as Great Ormond Street, The Royal Marsden and The University Hospital, Gent. He was awarded the specialist fellowship in Plastic Surgery, FRCS (Plast), in 2007 and gained his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in 2008 with entry on to the GMC Specialist Plastic Surgery register.  The same year he was appointed as a Consultant in the Craniofacial Plastic Surgery Department at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London where his NHS practice is still based.

Mr Young undertakes craniofacial, facial, body cosmetic rejuvenation utilising non-surgical and surgical techniques in addition to adult and paediatric general plastic and reconstructive surgery.  He has a special interest in facial reconstruction from birth defects, skin cancer and trauma.  In addition to this he cares for patients with facial palsy.  He is a core member of the Skin Cancer Team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and works closely with consultant colleagues in oculoplastic surgery, ENT, maxillofacial and neurosurgery.

 
 

Simon Withey


Simon Withey was educated at Sherborne School before undertaking his medical studies in London. He graduated in 1984 and continued his surgical training at a number of London teaching hospitals, becoming a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1989 and England in 1990. He undertook two years of postgraduate surgical research gaining a Master of Surgery degree (MS).

He trained in Plastic Surgery in a number of London units and passed the Plastic Surgery Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1998 FRCS (Plast.). His areas of Plastic Surgical speciality interest include head and neck and breast reconstruction and all areas of aesthetic surgery. Following the completion of his surgical training in England he was awarded a travelling fellowship by the British Association of Plastic Surgeons and spent a year in Paris. During his time abroad he gained considerable experience in both reconstructive and aesthetic surgery.

Mr Withey is on the academic committee of the European Course for Head and Neck Reconstruction, and teaches on the Paris course twice a year. He is a tutor on the European Microsurgical course in Milan and regularly teaches Plastic Surgery trainees at the Royal College of Surgeons. He is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the Royal Free Hospital, London. His interests include all aspects of aesthetic surgery, and reconstructive surgery for facial and breast deformity.

 

 
 

David Dunaway


Professor David Dunaway is a plastic & reconstructive surgeon with a special interest in Craniofacial reconstruction, facial aesthetic surgery and paediatric plastic surgery. He is a co-founder and director of the specialist plastic surgery unit at 152 Harley Street.

His NHS practice is based at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children where he leads the internationally acclaimed Craniofacial unit. He is also a member of the Craniofacial team at University College London Hospital.

He undertakes a wide variety of cosmetic procedures and has a special interest in facial rejuvenation, rhinoplasty and eyelid surgery.

David Dunaway’s Paediatric Plastic Surgery interests include the treatment of skin lesions, vascular anomalies and facial deformity.

 
 

Malcolm Schaller


Malcolm Schaller is a specialist oral surgeon, prosthodontist and dental surgeon who trained in the UK and North America. His main interests are in the reconstruction of the missing dentition, cosmetic and aesthetic improvement of the mouth and teeth, and the reconstruction of teeth and jawbones using implants and bone grafting techniques.

He is one of the pioneers in using modern implant reconstruction methods in the UK and has had over 25 years of experience in this field.

Dr. Schaller founded the internationally known Harley Street Oral Reconstruction Centre (HSORC) in the late 1990’s, where treatment is offered for a variety of dental problems by specialists in each field of dentistry. He is co-founder and director of 152 Harley Street, where joint specialist treatment can be provided for Head and Neck conditions including trauma, cosmetic and aesthetic treatment and disease.

Dr. Schaller is Past President of the American Dental Society of London, Past Vice President of The American Dental Society of Europe and is a member of the British Association of Oral Surgeons, The International College of Prosthodontists, the Academy of Osseointegration (USA) and the European Association of Osseointegration.
