RuthAnn Fanstone

She has worked as a physiotherapist in 4 of the biggest burn and plastics services in the UK, working as the lead physiotherapist in 3 of those units. She is currently working at the Chelsea and Westminster Foundation NHS Trust in burns, plastics and scar management.

RuthAnn’s passion for burns and scars treatment has taken her extensively to learn, teach and work around the world; she has gained experience from some of the leading burn services in the world through internships at The Shriners, Galveston, Harborview, Seattle and Le Ster Centre for Rehabilitation of Burn Injuries in Lamalou France.

RuthAnn also has significant experience and interest in training and education in burns care. She is the Director of Rehabilitation for Interburns, delivering international courses. She is very involved with Scar Academy, running courses in the UK on advanced scar management and scar outcome measures. She is a trainer in burns and soft tissue injury for the UK International Trauma and Emergency Register. She is a key contributor to the MSc in Burns Care, Queen Mary University London. She is Managing Editor of the newly launched medical journal Scars, burns and Healing. She is a Consultant with the Katie Piper Foundation progressing burn rehabilitation and investigating emerging non-surgical treatments for scar management.

RuthAnn has an MSc in Health Service Management from the University of London (UCL) and further qualifications in international health consultancy. Her main interest is the prevention and treatment of scar, burn rehabilitation and broad, emerging and innovative strategies to improve outcomes for people with scars.


Bessam Farjo

Bessam Farjo is a graduate of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI). He is a fellow of the International College of Surgeons (FICS), Diplomate and Past Board Director of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery (ABHRS), Past President & Fellow of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS), Founder Member and Past President of the British Association of Hair Restoration Surgery (BAHRS), Board of Trustees, the Hair Foundation, Fellow, Board Member and Medical Director of the Institute of Trichologists (est 1902) and Founder Member of the Trichological Society.

Mr Farjo is an expert contributor to TV news channels including BBC, Channel 4, Channel 5, Sky and others and a contributor to Channel 4’s Body Shocker and featured on Channel 4’s Embarrassing Bodies. He is an expert commentator to Daily Mail, Esquire, Tatler, The Times and The Metro and a regular blog writer for the Huffington Post.


Greg Williams

Greg Williams is a Plastic Surgeon who specialises in Hair Restoration. He is the only member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) who performs Hair Transplant Surgery on a full time basis. He is one of the doctors on the surgical team at the world renowned Farjo Hair Institute and is the current President of the British Association of Hair Restoration Surgery (BAHRS).

Prior to embarking on a full time private practice in Hair Restoration, Mr Williams was the Lead Clinician at London’s only Burn Service at the Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust and was the Clinical Director of the London and South East of England Burn Care Network. He has an extensive experience in Hair Restoration both for genetic male and female hair loss and for reconstruction post trauma, burns and following dermatological scarring alopecias.


Nicola D’Ippolito

Dr D’ippolito is the Lead of the Skin Cancer Service at Frimley Park Hospital NHS Trust where he is also the Lead of the Skin Allergy Clinic (Patch Test) and Research Lead for skin cancer studies.

As well as providing care for general dermatological conditions, Dr D’ippolito is a recognised specialist in the treatment of skin cancer, skin allergies, eczema and cosmetic skin treatments to minimise the signs of ageing, including Botox.

Dr D’ippolito completed his initial medical education in Italy and began working at a consultant level for the NHS in 2007. He is a ‘double board certified’ Dermatologist holding both the EU and UK equivalent Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training; he is on the GMC Specialist Register of Dermatology. His European CCST includes Venereology, which adds an extra dimension to his work in the area of male genital skin problems.


David Harris

Dr Harris qualified in 1981 from the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine, London. He trained initially in general internal medicine, obtaining his MRCP before pursuing his interest in dermatology. His dermatology training started in 1987 at the Westminster and St Stephens Hospital, London before spending three years in the academic department of dermatology in Edinburgh, Scotland. He returned to work at Royal Free Hospital before moving to the cutaneous surgery centre, University of Minnesota, USA in 1992, where he was the cutaneous surgery fellow. It was here that he gained complete training in laser surgery, Mohs micrographic skin cancer surgery and cosmetic dermatology.

In 1993 he was appointed consultant dermatologist at the Whittington NHS trust, London and started a Mohs surgery and laser service based out of the Wellington hospital.

In 2002 he opened the London Clinic of Dermatology and developed London’s first cutaneous surgery centre equipped with two operating theatres to deliver specialist Mohs surgical and laser care.

Dr Harris is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and member of the British Association of Dermatologists. He is a member of the European Society of Micrographic Surgeons. He is chair of clinical governance at HCA the Wellington hospital. He has been practising at 152 Harley Street since 2012.


Firas Al-Niaimi

An award winning dermatologist with over 210 scientific publications in medical journals, 10 book chapters (and his own book) and over 400 scientific presentations in more than 55 countries around the globe Professor Firas Al-Niaimi is one of the UK’s most prolific and well-published dermatologists and one with a renowned international standing.

Professor Firas Al-Niaimi is a highly experienced and respected consultant dermatologist with nearly 20 years of medical experience and trained in some of the UK’s top hospitals including the largest dermatology department in Europe (Manchester) and the world-renowned St. John’s Institute of Dermatology at St. Thomas’ hospital where he completed a prestigious laser and Mohs surgical fellowship there and continued to work as an honorary consultant for several years.

Currently in addition to his private practice he is involved in academic research and international teaching and training of doctors and was awarded the Global Excellence Award for the title consultant dermatologist of the year 2019 in London given his services and commitment to dermatology. In 2021 he was appointed professor in dermatology and becomes the first and only professor in laser dermatology in the UK.

Emma Craythorne

Emma Craythorne is a Consultant Dermatologist with a special interest in lasers and Mohs micrographic surgery. She completed her training in dermatology at Kings College London and undertook a Mohs and laser fellowship at the internationally-renowned skin hospital St John’s Institute of Dermatology at Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital.

Emma has expertise in all areas of skin scarring, skin cancer, general dermatology and cosmetic dermatology.

Emma is also the Lead of the British Research Council  skin cancer imaging research at King’s College London and runs the UK’s only service for detecting and managing skin cancer using reflectance confocal microscopy.


Manolis Heliotis

Mr Heliotis is the Divisional Clinical Director of Surgery, Anaesthesia, ICU and Theatres at the London North West Healthcare NHS Trust, comprising Northwick Park Hospital, St Mark’s Hospital, Central Middlesex Hospital and Ealing Hospital. He is a fully trained and accredited Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with a substantive Consultant post at Northwick Park and St Mark’s Hospitals in North West London and an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at Imperial College London. He has admitting rights as a Consultant to the Clementine Churchill Hospital, Trust Plus, Spire Bushey Hospital and The London Clinic in Central London.

Mr Heliotis received all his post-graduate surgical training in the United Kingdom. Formal Higher Surgical Training was achieved by rotating through some of the best training hospitals for his speciality – King’s College Hospital, The Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead & The Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford.


Jeremy Antscherl

Jeremy Antscherl is a consultant oral and maxillofacial surgeon born and brought up in North London. He qualified in dentistry at The Royal London Hospital in 1994 and in medicine at Birmingham University in 2001.

As an undergraduate he undertook periods of elective training in both Israel and the USA. He completed his specialist training at Barts & The Royal London Hospital, where he was privileged to work in one of the premier facial trauma units in the UK. He gained his FDS from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1998 and his FRCS (OMFS) in 2009. He received his CST in oral and maxillofacial surgery and was placed on the specialist register in 2010.

Following the Haiti earthquake in 2010, Jeremy took part in a charity relief mission there, as the only oral and maxillofacial surgeon in the field hospital.

Now a consultant at Queen’s Hospital, Romford, Jeremy has a specialist practice in the treatment of facial trauma patients and post-traumatic facial reconstruction, as well as facial surgical dermatology. Additionally he sees and treats patients with oro-facial pain, temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ) and carries out a full range of oral surgery treatments, which include the removal of complex wisdom teeth, biopsies and excision of cysts. He is happy to treat children of all ages as well as adults.


Tim Lloyd

My specialist interests are the correction of jaw deformity and craniofacial deformity. I am the lead for the adult craniofacial service at UCLH and surgical lead for the division growth and development at the Eastman Dental Hospital. I have one of the largest orthognathic practices in Europe and I have pioneered day case orthognathic surgery in the UK. I regularly lecture at the international orthognathic congress and I am consultant advisor to Medartis an international medical devices company.

I feel extremely fortunate to be involved with the charity “Facing Africa”. I travel with David Dunaway and others to Ethiopia to operate on Noma victims on a yearly basis.

As clinical lead for the oral surgery department at the Eastman Dental Hospital, I have been responsible for training programs for oral surgery and I continue to do oral surgery lists in my NHS practice. The excellent facilities at 152 are perfect for carrying oral surgery procedures.
