Hagen Schumacher is a fully UK trained plastic surgeon on the GMC Specialist Register and is a Certified Cosmetic Surgeon on the RCS register.
Following his specialist training at Cambridge University Hospital and associated units, he proceeded with two years of fellowship programs, subspecialising in surgery in the head and neck as well as the breast region. He passed all requirements to become Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS Plast), Member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), and a Fellow of the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. He holds a substantive post as NHS consultant (NWAFT) and has an extensive cosmetic practice in London, Cambridge and Essex.
Hagen is certified for all areas of surgical and non-surgical procedures. Where possible, he prefers to perform procedures under a local anaesthetic as a day case. Apart from the more common cosmetic operations, his interest also includes niche-procedures such as buccal fat removal, facial implants, correction of prominent belly button etc.
His working philosophy is that it is more important how a cosmetic condition affects somebody rather than what it looks like to others. Since a good outcome depends not only on surgical technique, but also healing and expectations, he selects patients carefully, and involves them as equal partners in the surgical process.
Hagen’s procedures include:
Abdominoplasty surgery, arm lift surgery, axillary reduction surgery, belly button surgery, blepharoplasty surgery, botulinum injections, breast implant surgery, breast fold surgery, breast uplift surgery, breast reduction surgery, brow lift surgery, buccal fat removal, cheek surgery, chin surgery, dimpleplasty surgery, ear reduction surgery, earlobe surgery, face / neck lift surgery, fat transfer, filler injections, gynaecomastia surgery, inverted nipple correction surgery, labiaplasty surgery, lip surgery, liposuction, nipple / areolar reduction surgery, pubic lift surgery, rhinoplasty surgery, scar revision surgery, thigh lift surgery.
