Duncan Atherton FRCS (Plast) is a consultant plastic surgeon who divides his time between the NHS, where he has a specialist interest in cleft lip and palate surgery, and cosmetic surgery in the private sector. He qualified with a double distinction from St George’s medical school in 2000. Duncan undertook his basic surgical training in Cambridge but returned to London in 2004 and was awarded an MD from Imperial College for his thesis on nerve injury.
He continued his plastic surgery across the capitals’ leading plastics units including St Andrews Broomfield; Chelsea and Westminster; Charing Cross; the Royal Free; Great Ormond St and Guys and St Thomas’. He has also undertaken sub specialty fellowships in craniofacial surgery; cleft surgery and the prestigious Wellington Aesthetic fellowship. He was awarded the FRCS (Plast) in 2011. He continues to keep up to date with the latest training and developments in aesthetic surgery both in the UK and abroad including in North America and Asia. Duncan undertakes all major forms of aesthetic surgery and has a specialist interest in breast surgery and rhinoplasty.
