Malcolm Schaller is a specialist oral surgeon, prosthodontist and dental surgeon who trained in the UK and North America.

His main interests are in the reconstruction of the missing dentition, cosmetic and aesthetic improvement of the mouth and teeth, and the reconstruction of teeth and jawbones using implants and bone grafting techniques.

He is one of the pioneers in using modern implant reconstruction methods in the UK and has had over 25 years of experience in this field.

He founded the internationally known Harley Street Oral Reconstruction Centre in the late 90’s where treatment is offered for a variety of different dental problems by specialists in each field of dentistry.

He is co-founder and director of 152 Harley Street where joint specialist treatment can be provided for Head and Neck conditions including trauma, cosmetic and aesthetic treatment, and disease.

Mark Vaughan

Orthodontist

Mark qualified from The Royal London Hospital in 2001 having obtained his Masters degree in Orthodontics with Distinction and his Membership in Orthodontics from The Royal College of Surgeons of England. He has worked in several Hospitals including University College London, Great Ormond Street Hospital, The Royal London Hospital, Whipps Cross University Hospital and Oldchurch Hospital. He is on the Orthodontic Specialist list held by the General Dental Council, registration number 66109.

Mark`s clinical areas of orthodontic interest include three dimensional facial growth, adult orthodontics with a particular passion for lingual orthodontics, interdisciplinary orthodontic management and aesthetic treatment, temporary anchorage devices and retention. Rebecca has been a specialist since 2000. She completed her MSc in Conservative Dentistry with distinction from the University of London in 1997. She then obtained a Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England (awarded Gold medal) and took further examinations to obtain the Membership in Restorative dentistry and the exit examinations for completion of training in Restorative dentistry. Rebecca works at King’s College London Dental Institute (Guy's hospital) as well as 152 Harley Street. She is the Program Director for the MClinDent in Prosthodontics which provides the necessary training for future specialists in this field, Rebecca teaches undergraduates and postgraduate students. She completed her PhD in 2000 in the field of tooth wear and has continued her research in this area, supervising numerous MSc and PhD students and has published many articles in refereed scientific journals and authored a book chapter on tooth wear.

Rebecca's main areas of clinical interest and expertise are in the management of tooth wear, cosmetic dentistry (bleaching, veneers), crowns, bridges and implants. She also treats patients with cleft lip and palate and hypodontia (congenitally missing teeth).

Rebecca was the president of the dental society at King's College London Dental Institute 2009-2010, is currently the treasurer of BATCD and a member of the British Dental Association, British Society of Restorative Dentistry and the International Association of Dental Research.

Professor Donos undertakes all types of non surgical and surgical procedures in: periodontics and implants, periodontal and bone tissue regeneration, implant related surgical procedures and treatment of peri-implantitis. He also regularly lectures on a national and international level.

In 2001 he joined the Eastman Dental Institute. He was appointed to the Chair and Head of the Periodontology in January 2005. He is also the Director of Research at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute and the Chair of the Department of Clinical Research.

Patrick Mallucci graduated in 1989 from medical school to embark upon his surgical training. In 1993 he became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in recognition of this. Having completed his general surgery he undertook his training in Plastic Surgery both in the UK and abroad, London, Oxford, Stoke Mandeville, Australia and Paris.

In 1996 he was awarded the higher post graduate degree of Doctorate in Medicine (MD) having spent two years at University College London developing the concept of scarless wound healing. He was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Plastic Surgery, FRCS (Plast.) in 1998.

Mr Mallucci is entered into the GMC Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery. Simon Withey was educated at Sherborne School before undertaking his medical studies in London. He graduated in 1984 and continued his surgical training at a number of London teaching hospitals, becoming a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1989 and England in 1990. He undertook two years of postgraduate surgical research gaining a Master of Surgery degree (MS).

He trained in Plastic Surgery in a number of London units and passed the Plastic Surgery Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1998 FRCS (Plast.). His areas of Plastic Surgical speciality interest include head and neck and breast reconstruction and all areas of aesthetic surgery. Following the completion of his surgical training in England he was awarded a travelling fellowship by the British Association of Plastic Surgeons and spent a year in Paris. During his time abroad he gained considerable experience in both reconstructive and aesthetic surgery.

Mr Withey is on the academic committee of the European Course for Head and Neck Reconstruction, and teaches on the Paris course twice a year. He is a tutor on the European Microsurgical course in Milan and regularly teaches Plastic Surgery trainees at the Royal College of Surgeons. He is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the Royal Free Hospital, London. His interests include all aspects of aesthetic surgery, and reconstructive surgery for facial and breast deformity.

Greg Williams was educated in the West Indies and Canada before pursuing a surgical career in the UK. He trained as a general surgeon in London and became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1995.

He specialised in Plastic Surgery working in a number of teaching hospitals in London before being awarded the Fellowship in Plastic Surgery (FRCS Plast.). During his plastic surgery training he became interested in caring for people with burns injuries and spent a year as a fellow at the Shriners Hospital in Texas, USA - one of the premier burns units in the world. Jorge Leon-Villapalos is a Consultant in Plastic Surgery and Burns at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, appointed in 2009 and Paediatric Lead Clinician of the Burns Unit. Prior to this, he was a Consultant in Plastic Surgery and Burns at the St Andrew’s Centre for Plastic Surgery and Burns. This unit, part of the London and South East of England Burn Network, is also one of the leading Burns Units in the Country.

He was a fellow in Adult and Paediatric Burns and Adult and Paediatric Burns Intensive care at the Shriners Hospital for Burned Children in Galveston, Texas, one of the busiest and most recognized paediatric burns units in the world. He was a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Glasgow in Plastic Surgery, and was entered in the GMC Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery in 2009.

He is a member of the British Burns Association and the International Society for Burn Injuries, specializing in Burns Surgery and other conditions with extensive skin loss and necrosis such as necrotizing fasciitis, meningococcal septicemia, and toxic epidermal necrolysis. He also specializes in General Plastic Surgery as well as the reconstruction and management of scars of all etiologies. His interests also include all aspects of aesthetic, cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.

Laurence Newman studied both dentistry & medicine at the London Hospital Medical College, University of London, qualifying as a dentist in 1981 & as a doctor in 1990. Following training as a Senior Registrar at The Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead he was appointed as a Consultant Maxillofacial to Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children & University College Hospital London in 1997. During that time he has developed expertise in the management of benign & malignant conditions of the head & neck both in children and adults. Additionally he has written many peer reviewed papers regarding the management of complex facial trauma. He returned to East Grinstead to take up his post as Consultant Maxillofacial / Head & Neck Surgeon in September 2008.

He started his medico-legal practice in 1993 and now writes approximately 140 reports annually dealing with cases of personal injury & clinical negligence. He is fascinated by the law & its interaction with medicine. He was awarded the Cardiff University Bond Solon Expert Witness Certificate in 2006 which involved training both in report writing & courtroom skills. He has now been awarded a Master in Laws Degree LLM in the Legal Aspects of Medical Practice by Cardiff Law School. Recently he has become an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer in Medical Law at Brighton & Sussex Medical School.

Simon Holmes is clinical lead and lead Facial Trauma surgeon for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Barts and The London NHS trust, having qualified in dentistry at Guy's Hospital and medicine at Guy's and St Thomas Hospitals. He has an international reputation for excellence in both primary and revision facial trauma and regularly presents both nationally and internationally at key scientific meetings.

I am so pleased to be asked to be part of 152 Harley Street. The structure mirrors that of my NHS practice with the availability of other specialist services under the same roof. My patients and I are also able to take advantage of the state of the art facilities at 152.

My specialist interests are the correction of jaw deformity and craniofacial deformity. I am the lead for the adult craniofacial service at UCLH and surgical lead for the division growth and development at the Eastman Dental Hospital. I have one of the largest orthognathic practices in Europe and I have pioneered day case orthognathic surgery in the UK. I regularly lecture at the international orthognathic congress and I am consultant advisor to Medartis an international medical devices company.

I feel extremely fortunate to be involved with the charity “Facing Africa”. I go with David Dunaway and others to Ethiopia to operate on Noma victims on a yearly basis.

As clinical lead for the oral surgery department at the Eastman Dental Hospital, I have been responsible for training programs for oral surgery and I continue to do oral surgery lists in my NHS practice. The excellent facilities at 152 are perfect for carrying oral surgery procedures.

Hamid Daya is a Consultant ENT Surgeon with a specialist interest in Paediatric ENT. He has been in practice since 2000 and developed the concept of delivering Paediatric ENT care under the framework ent4kids which was formally incorporated in 2007 under his directorship. As well as his subspecialty interest in Paediatric ENT, Hamid Daya also offers both specialist (ear, voice and sinus disease) and general ENT care for adult patients.

Hamid Daya qualified from the Universities of St. Andrews and Manchester receiving his medical degree in 1988. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1993 and then received postgraduate Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery training at the St. George’s Hospital, London; The Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guildford; The Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospital, London; and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, London.

Children's ENT Surgeon

Ian Hore is a Children's Ear Nose and Throat Consultant Surgeon at The Evelina Children's Hospital, Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Trust. He trained specifically in Children's ENT as Fellow at Great Ormond Street Hospital, after general ENT training that included three years at The Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospital in London and an MSc in Oxford.

He is a Fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons of England, and is a member of The Royal Society of Medicine, The British Medical Association, The British Association of Paediatric Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, The British Association of Paediatric Otolaryngologists and The European Society of Paediatric Otolaryngology. He has presented nationally and internationally on Children's ENT problems and gives monthly teaching on this.

He has a special interest in Paediatric Airway Obstruction, particularly snoring and blocked breathing disturbing sleep. He also looks after other problems such as recurrent sore throats often due to tonsillitis that can lead for example to missing school, as well as other associated problems such as adenoid enlargement and glue ear.

Working at specialist children's hospitals gives him a great deal of experience looking after both the routine and complex ear nose and throat problems that occur with children.

Radiologist

Gitta Madani is a Consultant Radiologist at Imperial College NHS Trust. She has a specialist interest in all aspects of head and neck imaging, including ENT, maxillofacial, temporomandibular joint, thyroid, orbital, and skull base imaging. Dr Madani reports all modalities including CT, MRI, plain and contrast radiography (such as sialography and dacrocystography) and performs ultrasound and image-guided interventional procedures. She also performs minimally invasive treatment of salivary strictures and stones.

Dr Madani undertook her medical training at Imperial College Medical School and subsequently trained in radiology at the Royal Free and University College Hospitals. She also trained as a dentist and has previous experience in head and neck surgery.

Dr Madani is a fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists, a fellow of the faculty of dental surgery and a member of the faculty of surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons.

Dr Madani has an active interest in teaching, training and research. At 152 Harley Street, Dr Madani supervises, protocols and reports cone beam CT imaging.

Physiotherapist and Cranio-Sacral Therapist

Catherine Williams qualified from Sheffield Hallam University in 1995 and has worked in Sheffield and London treating both adults and children in the NHS and private sector. Her previous NHS post was at University Hospital Lewisham as senior paediatric physiotherapist working with children with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal conditions.

Since qualifying as a physiotherapist she has trained as a Cranio-Sacral Therapist at the London School of Cranio-Sacral Therapy where she is now a tutor and is trained in acupuncture for pain relief.

In 2004 Catherine completed extensive training in the USA in the Orthotic management of Plagiocephaly and has since gained considerable experience in the treatment of infants with Plagiocephaly and its commonly associated conditions working as a principal clinician at the London Orthotic Consultancy. Her specialised skills and interests are the management and treatment of plagiocephaly, management/treatment of torticollis repositioning techniques and child development.

Catherine has presented at many teaching hospitals on topics such as assessment, prevention and treatment of plagiocephaly. She is involved in regular training courses on Plagiocephaly to assist a variety of Health Care professionals including Physiotherapists, Health Visitors, Osteopaths and Midwives in the prevention and treatment of plagiocephaly

Chris qualified as an Orthotist in 1983. He is the senior Orthotic Consultant and Managing Director of The London Orthotic Consultancy. In 1991 took up the post of Principal Orthotist at Queen Mary's Hospital, Roehampton SW15 where he worked in post traumatic rehabilitation, paediatric and adult neuro-rehabilitation and complex foot and ankle clinics. He has worked as various other NHS Hospitals including Kingston Hospital, St Georges Hospital and Guys Hospital providing specialist paediatric and adult foot and ankle orthotic clinical services.

Chris has lectured widely on Orthotics, published papers on Orthotic principles and Orthotic design. Saeed qualified as an Orthotist over twenty years ago and has extensive experience in orthotic management of both adults and children. His previous Senior NHS posts include The Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford which has an international reputation as a centre of excellence for orthopaedic management and Queen Mary’s Hospital, Roehampton SW15, where he ran the trusts diabetic foot clinic as well as paediatric and adult orthotic clinics. He was also involved in undergraduate teaching of orthotic students in all aspects of orthotic management.

He left his NHS practice 6 years ago to become a founding director and senior orthotic consultant of The London Orthotic Consultancy (LOC). He has specialist experience in the treatment and orthotic management of Plagiocephaly which he has been involved with for over 5 years.
